Ellie Lichtash, President
Head of School, Alef Bet Montessori School
Ellie serves as the board’s President and is an attorney, trained in London, who came to the US from Israel. She has founded and is head of school of Alef Bet Montessori School in Rockville, Mary-
land in the suburbs of Washington DC. Ellie was instrumental in forming the non-profit entity of MAA and serving on its founding board, as well as the Montessori Schools of Maryland. She is knowledgeable about governance in the social sectors and a strong believer in Montessori.
