Dave Archambault, Sr

Advocate, Leader & Consultant to Indian Education on Tribal lands

Dave is an Indigenous educator and child advocate of Lakota-Sioux lineage. He holds a master’s degree from Penn State and has served as a principal and a superintendent of Tribal BIE schools in South Dakota, as well as heading the American Indian Higher Education Consortium.

Dave was instrumental, along with his wife (who holds a Montessori credential), in transforming the Head Start programs on the Pine River Indian Reservation to Montessori schools and advancing the growth of elementary Montessori. He is a strong advocate in many circles for Montessori education.
